Dimensions variable
C-prints, weather forecasts, postcards, billboard, limited edition book, mixed media
The project documented plastic bags in trees through four season. The field documentation totaled over 400 photographs. The resulting images, along with the day’s wind speed, were produced as postcards, a self-financed billboard, and limited edition book.
The Migration Series is an early example of work that evolved from Druecke’s interest in the urban landscape. The concept, execution, and presentation came from walking routines and his interest in orienting the individual within our shared landscape. The methods and materials of production/distribution located the work so audiences could encounter it directly, amidst their own routines, without being mediated by the context of gallery or institution.
For a current iteration of these interests, see America Pastime.
